Had brunch with my husband today! He’s brim Baton Rouge and very picky about his Cajun food. We ordered the gumbo it was very tasty. Just wish it had a description stating it had tomatoes and okra in it. If we had known we would have picked something else. Don’t get me wrong it was great we just picked the okra out. The beignets were fluffy and not greasy! We will be back for sure!

Kelly made our day. She was extremely professional and personable. The food was very delicious and the service was some of the best that I have experienced. We had fried okra and wings and fries as an appetizer. For lunch we ordered the Mardi Gras pasta, shrimp and grits, fish and grits. The dessert was beignets and we enjoyed everything. We had absolutely no complaints

This was my first time eating here. My waitress was Melanie. She was absolutely amazing and attentive. We had a nice size party and she didn't miss a beat. Kept a smile on her face and kept us happy. My food was very good and everything was served fresh.

Cafe Le Rue is everything! I've been there a few times and I've never been disappointed. The food, service, and ambiance are amazing! Kelly, the waitress, is always warm and welcoming. Her menu recommendations are spot on! I've had the Cajun alfredo pasta, cod and fries, cauliflower bites, fried pickles, and wings and fries appetizer. The food comes out quickly, good temperature, and excellent portions. I'm always too full for dessert but I plan to try the beignets on my next visit because many people have recommended them to me. I love the that the indoor seating area is a little dark and quaint while the outdoor area is light and vibrant. Different option to fit any mood or vibe. 10/10

I had a google reservation with cafe le rue I was running late and my friend was already there and we were met with kindness even though we didn’t arrive at the reservation time while keeping our spot. Mrs. Kelly was our server and she was so nice and made great recommendations, the food was amazing and it was really good. The shrimp was fresh and so was the okras and green tomatoes. Our experience was awesome, Mrs.Kelly was constantly checking up on us making sure we were ok. I definitely felt welcomed there and the vibes were great I definitely will be back.

My husband and I came here for a nice brunch. Our service from Kelly was amazing and the food was fresh. I got the breakfast sandwich which was delicious and came with fries which were perfectly seasoned. My husband got the red beans and rice which reminded him of home. The chocolate beignets were fluffy and to die for. If you need your Cajun food fix, definitely come here!
